The BMW Spartanburg record (2024-2025 pilot, independently confirmed by BMW)
Figure 02 worked the sheet-metal loading station of the X3 line for eleven months: ten-hour shifts Monday to Friday, ~1,250 operating hours, 1.2M+ steps, 90,000+ sheet-metal parts placed into welding fixtures at +/-5 mm with 99%+ per-shift accuracy on an 84-second cycle, supporting 30,000+ X3 builds. In June 2026 the 02 units retired and Figure 03 entered the same plant for harder logistics sequencing (combined move-manipulate-handle tasks).
Helix: speech in, motion out
Helix splits the stack in two: an upper VLM at ~7-9 Hz understands speech and scene and emits subgoals; a lower visuomotor policy at 200 Hz outputs joint commands. An operator can say 'take the second-layer sheet from the left rack and place it in the fixture'; the robot repeats the plan, confirms, executes - compressing line-changeover from weeks of programming to hours of demonstration.

Figure units are scarce in China and Henghuan does not service the body; however its China-sourced components (harmonic reducers, torque sensors, battery packs) are shared with domestic humanoids - we cover testing and spare-channel services for those parts, plus entry safety assessment for clients importing used Figure pilot units.
