UR is designed so that power and force limits always apply, with speed, force, axis, and workspace all matched to safety limits, directly configured within PolyScope. However, whether fences can be set up depends on the risk assessment results, not on parameters—the end gripper grabs the blank, the rhythm is slow, and most can work together directly; The end is the welding gun, blade head, or the workpiece with burrs or sharp corners, which usually fails evaluation and still requires protection. We don't guarantee the client will pass; we have to calculate based on actual working conditions.

The e series is lightweight and versatile: UR3e (3kg/500mm, repeatability ±0.03mm, body 11.2kg, wrist can rotate infinitely), UR7e, UR12e, UR16e, with loads of 3-16kg, suitable for compact tabletops and high-frequency cycling. UR series heavy-duty models: UR8 Long (8kg, expandable to 10kg, radius 1750mm), UR15, UR18, UR20, UR30, maximum load up to 35kg, IP65 and cleanroom certified, suitable for palletizing, machine tool maintenance, and welding. First, determine the load and radius, then consider the protection requirements.

A common issue encountered on site is: wear of joint reducers after long-term high-cycle operation, manifesting as positioning drift and abnormal noises; Aging joint sealing rings and oil leakage; Repeated bending and breaking of the teach pendant cable and joints; Dust accumulation in the control cabinet fan causes an overheating alarm. UR features a modular joint design, and the E series supports on-site replaceable joints, allowing individual joints to be replaced individually. Whether only the joints and not the whole machine can be replaced depends on the degree of wear after disassembly and inspection. We don't make estimates without inspection.

UR installations exceed 100,000 units worldwide, with the highest domestic number among collaborative robots. Common parts such as teach pendants, cables, and joint modules are relatively smooth; The reducer and encoder inside the control cabinet main board and joints depend on the specific model; the E series and UR series joints are not interchangeable. We do not preset the number of days: repairs are done first, and parts that must be replaced are calculated according to the order cycle. After inspection, we provide an estimate. Among collaborative robots, UR has the best second-hand circulation and large installed volumes. The UR+ ecosystem has over 500 certified components, including grippers, vision, and seventh axis, all easy to match. But note: although both the E and UR series run PolyScope, their load and radius differ greatly, so buying the wrong spec is more troublesome than buying the expensive one. For used collaborative machines, be sure to check joint wear and running time records. When we sell second-hand, we attach inspection records, and we don't ship immediately after the lights are on.

UR has a maximum load of 35kg, a working radius of 1750mm, and repeatability of ±0.03mm. It can handle palletizing, machine tool maintenance, welding, dispensing, grinding, assembly, and quality inspection. The UR+ ecosystem includes supporting grippers, welding gun bags, and palletizing software. But honestly, 35kg is considered a small load for a six-axis industrial robot. With the same budget, buying a domestic or imported six-axis with a 50-100kg model offers greater speed and rigidity. The value of UR lies in the need for fences, its ability to move, and quick changeover. It is suitable for small batches with many varieties, not relying on load.

PolyScope is a graphical programming environment that comes with it, allowing you to build workflows by dragging and dropping. The official positioning is that you don't need a professional programming background and can get started in just a few minutes. On-site experience is: point-setting actions like picking and placing and loading can indeed be learned in a day or two; But to do grinding force control, weld tracking, and visual linkage, someone still needs to understand. Additionally, URs come standard with PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, and EtherCAT, so the PLC requires no extra hardware or authorization, which is quite convenient.
