The data-route split: heavy vs light asset
Heavy-asset camp: UBTECH built industrial data-collection centers in Liuzhou and Zigong with 500+ robots continuously logging joint torque and tactile feedback, 400+ effective hours per robot per year; its Thinker model auto-labels near-fully and Thinker-WM world model synthesizes high-fidelity virtual data from little real data. AGIBOT's 4,000 m2 Shanghai data factory replicates five scenes with ~100 robots producing 30-50k trajectories daily, over a million cumulative; open AgiBotWorld became an industry benchmark (~80% of real-robot data behind NVIDIA GR00T N1).
Light-asset camp: Unitree converts hardware volume into ecosystem data - Wang Xingxing estimates 10-20k units in 2026 at 10 collection hours per unit per day would ease the industry data famine within two to three years; Galbot leans on simulation synthesis plus the Tsinghua-co-developed 'Galbot StarBrain' embodied model for a perception-decision-execution loop. Leju deploys its 'Kuafu' series into national data training centers, selling data and training-ground services.
